Whew! Summer was busy!

It’s been quite a while since I posted a note. Sorry! It’s been so busy at the library this summer that the blog had to wait.

With 1,329 youth involved in our reading programs, and record usage in all parts of the library, we can truly say that summer is our busiest time of year.

Now schools are back in session and we will get into a new routine. Don’t forget that every student should have a library card. It’s the best tool for learning because it costs you nothing and gives you access to Emporia Public Library’s collection, plus the resources of other libraries and those on the Internet.

Our summer hours are in effect until August 31. We close at 6 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, so watch the time! Please use our two outside bookdrops for returning library materials after hours.

Thanks for a great summer!
